OBIC Welcomes New Certified Installer in Iowa: American Rehab Coatings

OBIC is excited to announce that American Rehab Coatings—formerly known as Accujet—is now a certified installer of OBIC lining systems. Based in Perry, Iowa, this experienced team continues to serve municipalities and industrial clients throughout Iowa and parts of South Dakota.

With a new name, new logo, and a brand-new website (americanrehabcoatings.com), the company’s mission remains the same: deliver high-quality rehab solutions for aging infrastructure using trusted trenchless technologies.

American Rehab Coatings specializes in the rehabilitation of manholes, lift stations, culverts, water tanks, treatment plants, and industrial coating projects. Under the leadership of General Manager Shannon Barnes and Operations Manager Kyle Baxter, the team is committed to precision work, long-lasting results, and staying at the forefront of industry standards.

“We’re building momentum,” said Barnes. “From working with engineers using SUDAS standards to hosting lunch and learns, we’re laying the foundation for lasting relationships. We’ve got several big projects ahead of us, and we’re excited about what’s to come.”

The team has also scheduled additional training at OBIC headquarters, strengthening their technical expertise and product knowledge.

Why OBIC

“After evaluating several manhole rehabilitation systems, we found OBIC to offer the best combination of product quality, ease of application, competitive pricing for our customers, and exceptional training and support,” said Kyle Baxter. “While there are some cementitious options in Iowa, nothing compares to the advanced solutions OBIC provides, and we saw a clear need for them.”

“What sets OBIC apart for us is the 10-year warranty on both material and installation, something no other provider offers. OBIC products excel in freeze/thaw environments like ours, and their versatility allows us to take on a high volume of projects with confidence. We are grateful for the partnership and look forward to many years of growth,” said Baxter.

In addition to ongoing manhole and lift station rehab, American Rehab Coatings is expanding into more specialized coatings work. Upcoming projects include:

  • Sealing and dehumidifying a document vault for the City of Perry to protect historical paper records
  • Manhole rehabilitation work for the University of Iowa
  • A structural lining project on an old brick sanitary tunnel in Waterloo

With family members on the team and a strong sense of pride in their work, American Rehab Coatings is bringing both passion and professionalism to every job site.

We’re proud to partner with this trusted team and look forward to seeing the impact they’ll continue to make throughout the region.
